1. Background:
Right To Play is a g
lobal organization that protects, educates, and empowers children to rise above adversity through the power of play.
We help millions of children each year stay in school, prevent
life-threatening diseases, and stay safe from exploitation and abuse. We
are the leading global development organization that uses play to
transform the lives of children and youth impacted by poverty, war,
disease, and inequality.

Established in 2000, Right To Play
reaches children through experiential programming in 15 countries in
Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and North America.
These programs are supported by our headquarters in Toronto, Canada;
London, UK; and seven national offices across Europe and North America.
Right
To Play requires the effective provision of cleaning services for its
office premises located in Reagent Estate, Mikocheni, Dar es Salaam.

2. Scope of Work:
This
contract is to provide cleaning services using environmentally friendly
cleaning products and supplies for office premises of approximately
3,000 square feet. The layout consists of a one-story building with office space, conference facilities, common areas, and parking space.

3. Deliverables:
The scope of the contract includes, but is not limited to, the following:

Office Space & Common Areas: 

  • Cleaning of office space, meeting rooms, stairways, and common areas
  • Cleaning of all bathrooms and their fixtures
  • Cleaning of balconies
  • Cleaning of windows (internal and external)

Waste Management:

  • Daily: Empty paper/waste bins
  • Three times a week: Clean floors
  • Two times a week: Clean and dust fixtures
  • Once a week: Clean and dust windows, doors, glass doors, and glass partitions
  • Meeting/Conference Rooms: Daily: 
    • Empty paper/waste bins, clean tabletops, rearrange tables and chairs
  • Bathrooms: 
    • Daily:
      Wash floors, clean and disinfect fixtures, replenish supplies (toilet
      paper, paper towels, soap, toilet disinfectant, etc.)
  • Kitchenettes: 
    • Daily: Clean floors, tabletops, sinks, and empty waste bins
    • Weekly: Polish cupboards and replace kitchen towels
  • Balconies: 
    • Once a month: Litter cleared from the balconies

Premises Visit:
All bidders are welcome to visit and assess the premises before submitting an offer.
Work Schedule:
The cleaning work will be carried out within office working hours, from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM (06:00h – 14:00h).

4. Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in rendering satisfactory services to recognized/reputable institutions
  • Financially sound and stable, evidenced by financial statements for the past two years of operation
  • Personnel
    must have training and experience in similar environments, with more
    than three years of working experience in the cleaning industry
  • Provision of reference letters from clients who have been served for 3+ years
  • Fully registered with TIN and VRN numbers
  • Three written references from existing clients
  • Proof that personnel deployed at Right To Play will be paid according to Tanzanian labor law requirements
