Position Overview
Job Title: MEAL Officer
Location: Dodoma/ Shinyanga, Tanzania
Reports To: Program Manager
Employment Type: Full-time
Travel Required: Yes
We
are seeking a dedicated and experienced MEAL Officer to join our
dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in
designing, coordinating, and implementing the monitoring, evaluation,
accountability, and learning (MEAL) framework for all ICS programs.

Key Responsibilities
1. Planning and Design
 Develop and enhance organizational M&E systems and tools
 Support program staff in defining SMART objectives and indicators
 Contribute to program design, proposal development, and work plans

2. Monitoring and Evaluation
 Coordinate data collection and analysis
 Conduct field review visits and capacity building for staff and partners
 Design and implement program evaluations, including Post Implementation Monitoring Surveys (PIMS)

3. Reporting and Documentation
• Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual program reports
• Review consultant reports and develop field visit reports
• Document lessons learned and impact stories

4. Learning and Knowledge Sharing
• Facilitate learning and sharing mechanisms within the organization
• Support the development of publications from program data
• Contribute to cross-program integration and learning

Qualifications and Experience
• At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Community Development, Economics, Statistics, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in M&E roles within social impact programs
• Proven expertise in statistical analysis, program design, and integrated development programming
• Strong research, data analysis, and report writing skills
• Excellent communication skills in both Swahili and English

• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Adaptability and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in data management and analysis software
