Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Fuel System Technician to join our team and
contribute to our mission of fostering a positive environment.
A
Fuel System Technician for trucks is responsible for ensuring the
proper functioning of fuel systems in diesel-powered vehicles.
Key responsibilities include:
- Fuel
System Maintenance: Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and
repairs on truck fuel systems, including fuel injectors, injector pumps,
filters, and lines. - Diagnostic Services: Utilize specialized
diagnostic tools to identify and troubleshoot issues within fuel
systems, ensuring efficient fuel delivery and engine performance. - Component
Replacement: Replace or repair defective fuel system components,
adhering to manufacturer specifications and safety standards. - Preventative
Measures: Conduct regular preventive maintenance tasks to minimize the
risk of fuel system failures and extend the lifespan of truck engines. - Record
Keeping: Maintain detailed records of inspections, maintenance
activities, repairs performed, and parts used, ensuring compliance with
company policies and regulatory requirements. - Collaboration:
Work closely with other technicians and departments to coordinate
maintenance schedules and address any fuel system-related concerns
promptly. - Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and
environmental regulations when handling fuel system components and
performing maintenance tasks. - Customer Communication: Provide
clear and accurate information to drivers and fleet managers regarding
fuel system conditions, necessary repairs, and maintenance
recommendations. - Any other job assigned by line manager & Supervisor

Qualifications: Educational Requirements
- High
School Diploma or Veta Level 1 with technical courses or training
related to automotive technology, mechanics, or diesel engines. - Candidates
who have attended a technical or vocational school offering programs in
diesel mechanics or automotive technology. Courses related to fuel
systems, engine diagnostics, and mechanical repairs are beneficial.
Experience
- Hands-on
Experience: Practical experience working with truck engines, fuel
systems, and related mechanical components is essential. This may
include working as an intern, apprentice, or in a similar entry-level
role such as a mechanic assistant or technician. - Atleast 3 year
of Experience with Fuel System Diagnostics and Repair: Understanding how
to troubleshoot and repair fuel system components (like injectors,
pumps, filters, tanks, and fuel lines) is critical. Familiarity with
diagnosing fuel-related issues, such as fuel delivery problems, poor
fuel efficiency, and emissions issues, is often required.
Skills
- Mechanical Aptitude: Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills to identify and fix fuel system issues.
- Knowledge
of Fuel Systems: Familiarity with both gasoline and diesel fuel
systems, including their components and how they interact with the
truck’s engine and exhaust systems. - Engine Diagnostics: Ability
to use diagnostic tools and software to assess fuel system performance
and identify potential issues. - Attention to Detail: Ensuring
proper installation, maintenance, and repair of fuel system parts is
crucial for safety and efficiency. - Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers to explain issues and solutions.
Physical Requirements
- Physical
Stamina and Strength: The job may require lifting heavy components,
working in confined spaces, and standing for extended periods. - Manual
Dexterity: Working with small, intricate parts of the fuel system
requires good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
Knowledge of Safety Standards
- Understanding
safety protocols for working with fuel systems, including handling
hazardous materials, following procedures to prevent fuel leaks or
fires, and using protective gear like gloves and goggles.

Job Summary:
Fleet
Supervisor is responsible for managing a company’s fleet of vehicles
and ensuring that they are maintained, compliant with regulations, and
efficiently utilized. The role involves overseeing vehicle operations,
supervising drivers, and managing the maintenance, logistics, and safety
within budgetary while meeting company and customer requirement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and planning transport systems, including routes, schedules, infrastructure, and modes of transportation.
- Route
Planning: Developing efficient transportation routes for vehicles
within the fleet to minimize fuel consumption, reduce travel time, and
meet delivery deadlines. - Vehicle Allocation: Assigning vehicles
to specific routes or tasks based on factors such as vehicle capacity,
type, and availability, as well as customer requirements and delivery
schedules. - Optimization of Resources: Maximizing the
utilization of fleet resources, including vehicles, drivers, and
equipment, to achieve optimal productivity and cost efficiency. - Maintenance
Scheduling: Coordinating vehicle maintenance and servicing schedules to
minimize downtime and ensure that vehicles are safe and operational. - Oversee
the day-to-day operations of the fleet, including scheduling container
pickups, deliveries, and transfers to meet customer demands. - Update smart sheet and give daily truck report
- Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes affecting transportation operations.
- Any other duties given by manager or supervisor
Skills and Qualifications:
Experience:Â
- Previous
experience of 3+ years in fleet management, logistics, or a related
field. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair processes. - Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations (DOT, EPA, etc.).
Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to use fleet management software and other tools.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in logistics, transportation, or any related field management is preferred.
- Certifications
(optional but beneficial): Fleet management certifications such as
Certified Automotive Fleet Manager (CAFM) or similar are advantageous.
Working Conditions:
- The role may require occasional travel for fleet inspections or meetings.
- Work in an office environment with occasional visits to the warehouse or vehicle maintenance facilities.
- Some irregular hours may be needed for emergency situations or fleet operations.
