Reports To: Procurement Superintendent

Role Overview
The
Procurement Officer will play a key role in supporting procurement
operations by managing purchasing activities, overseeing contracts, and
ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. This position will
assist in preparing tender and contract documentation, coordinating
logistics, and ensuring compliance with company policies and government
regulations. The role also involves tracking supplier performance,
resolving procurement discrepancies, and optimizing procurement
processes to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure procurement operations comply with government regulations, company policies, and industry standards
• Convert Stock and Non-stock Requisitions into Purchase Orders (POs) with minimal risk
• Expedite orders to ensure on-time delivery by suppliers within agreed lead times
• Process and release approved POs to suppliers in a timely manner
• Ensure suppliers deliver as per agreed timelines
• Manage non-conformances and discrepancies in delivery, ensuring timely resolution
• Prepare procurement reports, correspondence, and presentations
• Maintain active communication with suppliers and internal teams for order status updates
• Adhere to Shanta Gold’s occupational health, safety, and environmental policies

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Commerce, Law (LLB), Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain operations
• Experience in mining or construction industries is an advantage
• Proficiency in MS Word & Excel
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills

Mechanic – HME
Location: Singida Gold Mine,
Work Schedule: 28 Days On / 14 Days Off
Reports To: Mechanic Supervisor – LV & HME

Role Overview
The
Mechanic – HME will be responsible for the maintenance,
troubleshooting, and repair of Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) to ensure
optimal functionality and safety. This role involves preventive and
breakdown maintenance, conducting inspections, identifying faults, and
implementing corrective actions to improve equipment reliability and
efficiency. The position also requires compliance with safety and
environmental regulations, risk assessment, and training team members on
best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance on mechanical equipment
• Conduct equipment inspections to identify faults and ensure timely repairs
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, providing effective solutions
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules for all HME mobile equipment
• Monitor and manage performance of mobile equipment to achieve production goals
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and safety activities
• Assist in sourcing and procuring spare parts and equipment for maintenance
• Provide technical support and training to team members
• Contribute to workshop safety, organization, and efficiency

What We’re Looking For

• Technical Certificate, FTC, Diploma, or Trade Test Grade I, II, III in Mechanical or related field
• 6+ years of experience in HME maintenance, preferably in a mining environment
• Strong knowledge of heavy mobile equipment repair and maintenance
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve mechanical issues
• Familiarity with safety regulations and risk management in mining operations
• Valid driver’s license (if required)
