Job Summary
Olerai
Lodge is looking for a Customer Relations & Receptionist to oversee
front desk operations and ensure an outstanding guest experience. The
ideal candidate will be responsible for welcoming guests, handling
reservations, managing inquiries, and maintaining high standards of
customer service. This role requires excellent communication skills, a
professional demeanor, and a passion for hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests warmly, creating a positive first impression.
- Manage guest check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
- Handle reservations, bookings, and guest inquiries via phone, email, and in person.
- Maintain accurate records of guest information, payments, and reservations.
- Address and resolve guest concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and other departments to fulfill guest needs.
- Promote lodge services, activities, and experiences to guests.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
- Handle administrative duties, including emails, reports, and guest feedback collection.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with guests to encourage repeat visits and referrals.

Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in hospitality, customer service, or a similar role.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Swahili (additional languages are a plus).
- Proficiency in reservation and booking software.
- Friendly and professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and perform well under pressure.
- Knowledge of the tourism and hospitality industry is an advantage.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to handle guest concerns gracefully.
- Basic accounting and cash-handling skills.

Join Our Team
We
are looking for a results-driven Digital Sales & Support Agent to
manage client interactions across various digital platforms. In this
role, you will engage with potential customers, qualify leads, and
ensure timely and professional communication via our website chat,
WhatsApp, and other digital sales platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Client Engagement
- Assist clients in determining their travel needs and recommend suitable plans.
- Guide clients from initial inquiry to completed sale, ensuring a seamless experience.
- Meet or exceed sales targets through proactive engagement and follow-ups.
Digital Communication Management
- Website
Chat Management: Monitor and respond to inquiries in real time via the
company’s website chat, providing accurate and helpful information to
potential clients. - WhatsApp First Response: Serve as the first
point of contact for WhatsApp inquiries, ensuring prompt and
professional responses. - Lead Qualification: Assess and qualify
leads from digital platforms, identifying potential sales opportunities
and escalating them to the appropriate sales team members. -
Multi-Platform Communication: Manage customer interactions across
various digital platforms, ensuring consistent and professional
communication.
Customer Relationship Management
- Maintain detailed records of all client interactions, inquiries, and lead qualifications within the company’s CRM system.
- Ensure smooth handovers between teams by keeping client information updated.
- Provide ongoing digital support to clients, fostering long-term relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience in the East Africa travel industry (preferred).
- Proven sales experience is required.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and online messaging tools.
- Ability to multitask and manage communications across multiple platforms.
- Customer-first mindset with strong attention to detail.
Working Conditions
Location: Shadows of Africa Tanzania office, Arusha (Sable Square).
Working Hours:
- Monday – Friday: 09:00 AM – 05:00 PM EAT
- Saturday: 09:00 AM – 01:00 PM EAT
Due to the nature of the business, urgent matters may arise outside
standard working hours and will need to be addressed promptly.
Holidays are provided in accordance with Tanzanian labor laws.
Salary & Benefits
- Net Salary: TZS 1,350,000 (take-home salary; all taxes covered by the company).
- The position is subject to a three-month probation period, after which a salary review will be considered.
