Position: Technical Analyst – Preventative Maintenance
Reports to: Technical Manager
Job Type: Full-time
Position Type: Staff Position
Job Location: Arusha, Tanzania

Objective of the Role:
Develop,
implement and manage a comprehensive preventative maintenance program
that minimizes equipment downtime, optimizes operational efficiency, and
ensures the longevity of equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop
  and implement a proactive preventative maintenance strategy to ensure
  minimal equipment downtime and optimized farm operations.
• Conduct
  technical analyses and generate reports on equipment performance,
  identifying areas for improvement and ensuring operational efficiency.
• Lead, train, and supervise the maintenance team, ensuring safety compliance and adherence to farm protocols.
• Manage inventory levels by ensuring there is adequate stocks of spare parts and coordinating timely reorders as needed.
• Ensure
  compliance with health, safety, and operational standards, guiding team
  members to follow all company and statutory requirements.

Qualification and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in equipment maintenance, with a focus on preventative and predictive maintenance strategies.
• Strong technical knowledge of farm equipment, irrigation, climate control systems, and mechanical infrastructure.
• Proven leadership experience with the ability to train, supervise, and motivate a maintenance team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze technical data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and compliance regulations, with a strong commitment to maintaining safe work environments.
• Proficiency
  in generating and interpreting technical reports, and ensuring
  alignment with company protocols and industry standards.
• Excellent
  computer skills and proficiency in working with multiple related
  software, including maintenance management systems and data analysis
  tools.
