to join our team.
Job Summary:
The Agricultural Extension
Officer will play a crucial role in promoting the use of compost among
local farmers and fostering relationships with agro dealers to enhance
the distribution and sale of compost products. This position involves
training farmers on the benefits and application of compost, developing
sales strategies, and building partnerships to support sustainable
agricultural practices. The ideal candidate is passionate, self-driven,
and proactive, thriving in a dynamic environment with a commitment to
continuous learning and growth.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Soil Science, or a related field.

Experience:Â
- Minimum of 3 years experience in agricultural extension,
sales, or a related role, preferably with a focus on compost or organic
farming. - Demonstrated experience in training farmers and building partnerships in the agricultural sector.Â
Skills:Â
- Strong understanding of compost use and its benefits for soil health and crop productivity.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate farmers.
- Proficiency in market analysis and sales strategies.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
