Outstanding Solutions Ltd is a hospitality consultancy company, incorporated in the United Republic of Tanzania.
On behalf of our client, we are looking for a secretary general. The
Secretary General is a chief administrative officer of an organization.
Often serving as a primary representative and spokesperson.
Key Responsibilities
- Be the head and lead the secretariat and shall be responsible for the day to day running of the association.
- Shall supervise and foresee the execution of all decisions of the executive committee and the governing council.

Preside as the secretary at all meetings of the membership and all
meetings of the governing council and the executive committee. - Coordinate all meetings of the membership, Executive Committee, and governing council.
- Represent the Association in conversation in conversation matters as directed by the conservation committee of the association.

Participate in tourism and Hospitality stakeholders’ meetings and
represent the Association as shall be directed by the executive
committee and Governing council. - Represent the Association in
various bipartite and tripartite committees and boards on matters
including but not limited to skills Development, Employment and labor
relations, Tax reforms and any other steering committees as shall be
directed by the executive and the Governing Council. - Prepare
communication and correspondences with the government ministries and all
their respective departments as the case may be, as directed by the
Executive Committee and Governing council. - Regularly reports to
the council about invitations, agenda and outcome of meetings with
government and donors, with minutes of meetings/PPTs presented. -
Consults with council about offers of cooperation from donors, copying
council members in email correspondence and waiting for authorization
before responding and inviting council members to join online
conversations with donors. - Perform other duties customary to
the role of Secretary General or as directed by the Governing council
and the Executive committee; and - Be the contact person in all matters involving the Association.

Requirements:
- 5+
years of experience in the hospitality, tourism, or related industries,
with at least 5 years in senior management or leadership roles. - Proven experience in managing associations, NGO’s, or organizations with a focus on tourism, hospitality, or conservation.

Strong track record of engaging with government ministries, donors, and
stakeholders within the tourism or hospitality industry. -
Strong communication and public relation skills, with the ability to
repeat to represent the association in high level meetings. - Deep understanding of Tanzania’s tourism and hospitality sectors, including policies, regulations, and key stakeholders.
