Key Responsibilities:
Activity
Strategic Implementation. (50%)
- Ensure
quality project implementation of the gender equality-focused AHADI
impact model groups at ground level, and support WV’s gender equality
models where needed (e.g. MenCare) - Lead and support the
planning, development, and coordination of project activities at the
district, regional, and national levels. - Ensure strong
Responsible for the performance and development of the Community
structures (AHADIIM Promoters, MenCare champions) who report to him/her. - Conduct continuous monitoring and supervision of the AHADIIM promoters
- Conduct
workshop review of Lesson Plans with AHADIIM Promoters every two weeks
and assure they understand the information well and can teach back the
information in a participatory manner. - Design and facilitate
training programs for community structures (AHADIIM Promoters and
MenCare Champions) focusing on enhancing their capacity to deliver
project objectives effectively. - Promote Sexual Reproductive Health to adolescents through behaviour change models, sports and games.
- Support in the development, implementation, monitoring and reporting of project activities including work plans and budgeting
- Support
documentation and dissemination of project lessons learnt and best
practices for adolescents’ sexual reproductive health (ASRH) - Establish
and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including
government ministries, community leaders, and partner organizations. - Represent
the organization in meetings, technical working groups (TWGs), and
other forums to advocate for adolescent sexual reproductive health and
rights.

- Lessons timely delivered to the lead adolescent
- QIVC timely filled
- Supportive supervision conducted and documented
- Quality project implementation at ground level
Activity
Program Compliance of Reports, Plan and Stewardship of Resources. (50%)
- Monthly
reporting of the implementation on ground level (AHADIIM Promoters,
MenCare champions), including gender equality impacts - Ensure the registers are properly cinoketed
- Observation of the Promoter’s Equipment (transport, scale, storage area, other materials)
- Maintain
a filing system in the project office (or on a computer) so copies of
registers, reports, and QIVCs are easily accessible. - Responsible
to supervise each AHADIIM Promoter who reports to him or her in the
field at least twice a month, using QIVCs and completing all sections of
the AHADIIM Promoter Supervision Checklist every quarter. - Attend
training and coordination meetings at the district/Area Program/cluster
office, providing verbal and written reports of activities completed. - Review of Visit to Community Leaders or Participate in a Community Leadership Meeting and Interview the Leaders
- Responsible
to liaise with the appropriate people in a timely and professional
manner to ensure the financial, logistical and procurement issues
required to implement project activities.
End Results
- AHADIIM registers are properly completed
- Reports are timely compiled.
- 80% attendance by Adolescents
KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE
Required Professional Experience
- Experience in working with adolescents.
- Familiarity with the community in which the project is working (Dar es Salaam and/or Dodoma).
- Ability to speak both English and Swahili
Required Education, training, license, registration, and certification
- Bachelor’s
Degree in the field of Social Science such as Sociology, Social Work,
Education, Community Development, Public Health etc.

Travel and/or Work Environment Requirement
The position requires the ability and willingness to travel domestically up to 60% of the time and occasionally internationally.
Ability to work in a multicultural context as a flexible and respectful team player.
Physical Requirements
The position is based in Dar Es Salaam.
Language Requirements
Excellent written and spoken English and Swahili language.
