Job Vacancy – Senior Procurement Officer
Senior
Procurement Officer in Advent Construction plays a crucial role in
ensuring that all necessary materials, equipment, and services are
acquired in a timely and cost-effective manner to support construction
projects.
➢ Identify potential suppliers, conduct vendor
evaluations, negotiate contracts, and establish relationships with
reliable vendors.
➢ Evaluate suppliers based on quality, price,
delivery speed, and service to ensure that the construction project’s
needs are met
➢ Source, select, and purchase materials, equipment, and supplies required for construction projects.
➢ Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of materials to meet project schedules.
➢
Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to develop
procurement budgets and cost estimates for materials and services.
➢ Monitor expenditures to ensure that procurement activities stay within budget constraints.
➢ Review and negotiate contracts with suppliers, ensuring terms and conditions are favorable to the construction project
➢ Monitor contract performance, resolve disputes, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
➢ Identify potential risks related to procurement activities and develop mitigation strategies to minimize risks.
➢ Stay informed about market trends, price fluctuations, and supply chain disruptions to proactively address potential issues.
➢ Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to procurement activities.
➢ Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, contracts, and supplier information.
➢
Collaborate with project teams, engineers, architects, and other
stakeholders to understand project requirements and coordinate
procurement activities.
➢ Communicate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure smooth
procurement processes.
➢ Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings in procurement practices.
➢
Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies to

Skills and Qualifications
➢ Degree in Purchasing / Procurement or equivalent
➢ Minimum 5 -10 years’ experience as a Senior Procurement Officer or similar position.
Experience in Civil construction materials e.g. Hardware, Plumbing, electrical, and equipment is a MUST.
➢ Knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, policies, and systems.
➢ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
➢ Experience with Accounting Software (Tally) will be considered an asset.
➢ Ability to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions.
➢ Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
➢ Goal-oriented, organized, team player, and attention to detail.
