Project Officer

Position: Project Officer
Department: Project Management
Reports to: Project Manager
Location: Head Office- Dar es Salaam

POSITION OBJECTIVE
To
provide a wide variety support on management of projects from inception
to completion, utilizing skills in planning, coordination, and team
leadership to deliver high quality results on time and within budget.
With a focus on clear communication, risk mitigation and stakeholder
engagement, the objective is aimed to drive project success and exceed
expectations while fostering a collaborative and motivating work
environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

v To help organize, oversee and implement projects work and solutions
v Helping project managers draft proposals and project plans to share with stakeholders
v Analyzing project specifications and requirements to determine accurate quantities of materials and resources needed
v Ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations and quality assurance processes
v Coordinating schedules with members of the project team
v Taking notes during project planning meetings
v Creating resource lists or guidelines for project team members based on the project plan
v Checking on team members’ progress during their phase of the project
v Conducting research into the technology or resource requirements for specific projects
v Uploading materials to project management platforms
v Compiling data and creating reports for project managers
v Conducting tests on project results
v Taking part in post-project sessions to discuss results and suggest improvements
v Completing other administrative tasks From line managers
v Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by or through line manager

Holder
of Bachelor Degree in Project Management, Project Planning &
Management, Statistics and Quantity Surveying or equivalent
qualifications from recognized institutions.
Ø Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices, with experience.

Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to
effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders and motivate
cross-functional teams.
Ø Exceptional organizational and
problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a focus

management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project and familiarity
with relevant technology platforms and systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
v To help organize, oversee and implement IT related projects work and solutions
v To provide additional tech support to our internal customers, and to the Project Team
v To support overall project implementation of infrastructure and systems
v
To provide initiations of environment to ensure project kick-off are
done smoothly with a clear roadmap from front end to bank end.
v To liaise with the project team implementers and agree on the best project lifecycle to be followed and tracked.
v To provide classroom tech overview for new systems that are implemented and estimate timescales
v To provide training for staff on how to use new systems implemented.
v To ensure every project task complies with TCB project guidelines and framework
v To ensure daily progress reports are captured.
v To provide necessary skills to avoid stacking of project and ensuring forecasted outcomes are anticipated in prior

POSITION OBJECTIVE
Responsible
for business growth for the bank and acquiring new profitable clients
and selling corporate Banking Products while promoting sales of other
Tanzania Commercial Bank products and services

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

To develop, grow and manage the corporate banking customer base y
recruiting new customers, and ensure optimal sells to the existing
customers so as to ensure bank’s maximum profitability.

JOB VACANCY- POSITION

Enhance customer’s loyalty by way of cross selling and utilization of
more than two Tanzania Commercial Bank products so as to ensure
retention of clients.
 Proactively manage client portfolio in
compliance with regulatory environment, keeping up with bank’s
guidelines, policies and procedures to mitigate financial loss of fraud
within the bank.
 Identify and acquire new customers through marketing of a full range of bank’s products and services.
 Recommend negotiated price of products and services for the portfolio

Seek “cross selling” opportunities for other products and services
through proactive and aggressive business development and marketing.

Work in close partnership with the entire Corporate Team, Treasury
Team, Branch Managers and Operations team to ensure that the service
needs for new and existing customers are appropriately addressed in
accordance with the bank’s strategy.
 Develop and lead the execution
of Trade and Transaction Banking saless part of the overall Corporate
Banking Department strategy.
 Direct ongoing product development and
management strategy through developing product strategy, implementing
products successfully and developing product end-state proposition.

Procure/recruit, nurture and sustain new Trade and Transaction Banking
relationships that have a potential to grow and provide superior
returns.
 Control and manage the risk of the Trade and Transaction
Banking portfolio to ensure maintenance of a high quality credit and
services profile through adherence to risk management policies and
procedures.
 To perform any other related duties as may be assigned by supervisor.

PROFESSIONAL AND INTERPERSONAL DETAILS

  • Education:
    Holder of Master’s Degree in one of the following fields; Business
    Administration, Finance, Accountancy, Banking, Economics
    Entrepreneurship or equivalent qualifications from a recognized
    institution with at least ten (10) years working experience in Banking
    Industry or Financial Institution.
