The key purpose of this role is to manage and develop
relationships with existing and potential Distributors / DC’s in line
with the 3rd party distribution strategy to meet distribution targets.
Key roles and responsibilities:
Area Distribution Strategy
- Propose and coordinate action plan to correct or continuously improve DC’s distribution execution.
- Assure Effectiveness and efficiency of DC’s delivery schedule routing
- Ensure that distributors’ logistics infrastructure is aligned with company requirements
- Monitor & report DC’s fleet conditions and capacity to better serve the outlets
- Regular audits to ensure correct execution from the DC, regarding distribution standards to achieve high service level.
Distributor Efficiency and Effectiveness
- Implement distributor Management processes in the area.
- Ensure that distributors / DC’s understand commercial terms with the company for the benefit of both parties
- Ensure that distributors/ DC’s fully understand deliverables expected
- Implement monthly analysis / Quarterly formal reviews of distributor performance and action plan.
- Measure distributor financial performance/profitability
- Assist distributors in developing strategies to minimise costs
- Leverage appropriate credit headroom for shipments and ensure relevant payment plans are communicated and strictly adhered to
- Coordinate
business meetings with Sale’s team/DC to review KPI’s reports, define
action plan towards sales volume growth, trade terms initiatives. - Coordinate, supervise and support DC’s product availability and containers according to standards from ABL.
Business Systems
- Assist on all KUJA activities to the DC. Be the point of contact and solve its issues.
- Assure DMS usage, quality of usage and Manage reports from DMS to feed the information for weekly and monthly business meetings
Distributors’ Business Development
- 6
monthly business plan is formulated per Distributor / DC ensuring
alignment to Company strategy and improvements in distribution standards - Standards implemented for all 3rd party business partners
- Distributor Relationship Management
- Distributor standards audited bi-annually
- Develop long term business relationship.
Administration
- Distributor
Monthly KPIs should be analysed & reports sent by the 7th day of
the new month to line management for approval and then forwarded to
respective customers for gap closure and alignment - Weekly business meetings with each distributor
- Ensure that quarterly formal reviews are completed

Profile:
- Minimum – National Diploma in Biotechnology, Analytical Chemistry or equivalent
- Degree in marketing or commerce
- 3 years’ experience in Sales or Marketing
- Sound commercial & analytical capability
- Good negotiating and persuasion skills
