About the role
Tanzania’s PR Manager will leverage strong
local media relations to implement the PR strategy and heavily support
ongoing projects in the country. We’re looking for someone with a
long-term strategic approach to PR who can build Bolt’s narrative and
raise awareness of our business lines.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Owning
    media relations in Tanzania, which involves forming and maintaining
    good relationships with journalists, responding to media inquiries, and
    staffing interviews/press events.
  • Working together with marketing and social media teams on integrated campaigns.
  • Collaborating with Public Policy on key regulatory issues in Tanzania.
  • Managing communication crises if and when they arise.
  • Training
    spokespeople, ensuring Bolt spokespeople are prepared to represent the
    company during media engagements and public events.
  • Supporting brand-related activities.

About you:

  • You are passionate about PR and the impact shared mobility can have on better cities.
  • You’ve been working in PR for at least 3 years, creating a network of journalists along the way.
  • You thrive in an environment with many challenges by leveraging a “get-it-done” attitude.
  • Your
    written and spoken English and Swahili are flawless, any other language
    useful in the rich cultural environment of Tanzania would be a plus.
  • You’ve been building and executing PR strategies with a proven track record of driving long-term narratives in the public space.
  • You have excellent project management and reporting skills.
  • You feel at home in environments where teamwork and aligning with stakeholders is key.
  • It is even better if you’ve been doing all this while part of international teams and handling public policy-related issues.

Experience is great, but we also look for drive, intelligence, and
integrity. So, even if you don’t tick every box, please consider
