Agronomist
Position: Agronomist
Agronomist at CultivAid in Tanzania June 2024
CultivAid is
an Israel Non profit organization development organization operating in
East Africa. We’re currently seeking for agronomist to join our team.
in this role you will be supporting the grape project activities.
What will you be doing?
1. A working period at the grape extension sites & AITEC farm as set by the grape project lifespan or 1 year
2. Physical work (pruning, picking, etc.) in the demonstration plots.
3. Conducting periodical visits at the project’s participating farmer’s plot.
4. Coordinating group of farmers for all activities related to grape project at the farmers’ plot.
5. Ongoing support for group participating in the grape project at the farmers’ plot & from far.
6. Support the planning and implementation at all project’s plots as well as in all other projects of CultivAid if needed.
7. Conduct trainings for farmers in the field of viticulture
8. Keeping data tracking records and import them to computer files.
9. Preparation of reports and weekly debriefing meeting for planning/summary of the implemented activities.
10. Collect and analyze data from farmers.
11. Supporting administrative & logistical activities as et by the project’s management.

Requirements
- Academic background in the field of Agriculture and Water
- Experience / knowledge in viticulture – advantage!
- Spoken & written English.
- Fluency in Swahili.
- Relocation to Dodoma municipal for all the working period.
- Computer Knowledge in operating different office software including MS
- Ability to perform physical activities as a part of the daily routine
