Plywood LTD (TPL) produces plywood for the local and regional markets
in East Africa. It uses sustainable plantation materials, specifically
eucalyptus and pine. The company has been operating for 8 years and is
now looking for a dedicated HSE Officer to achieve it growth goals. The
company is located in Mafinga, Tanzania and the project post is for a
full-time position on site.

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Assistant HR Officer
to join our team. The ideal candidate will support the HR functions
within our manufacturing facility, ensuring efficient operations and
compliance with company policies. This role involves working closely
with various departments to maintain accurate employee records and
implement best HR practices.

Location: Mgololo-Mufindi, Tanzania
Job Type: Full Time Contract

Responsibilities and Duties

• Manage the full-cycle recruitment process including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, and hiring.
• Maintain compliance with all employment laws, guidelines, policies and regulations.
• Prepare and submit required reports and documentation.
• Coordinate and facilitate Employee training programs.
• Implement and monitor health and safety policies.
• Manage
  day-to-day HR tasks such as staff attendance, payroll, leave
  management, advance requests, and loan requests and employee records
• Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, complaints, terminations, and investigations.
• Review and update and implement company policies and procedures.
• Schedule and conduct Employees’ performance reviews
• Perform other relevant tasks as assigned by top management

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s
  degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a
  manufacturing environment Strong understanding of HR principles and
  practices
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
