Job Description
Reporting Line: Senior Manager Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E)
Department: Sustainable Finance Unit
Location: HQ
Job Summary.
To
provide Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) for all green loans within
the bank throughout the results management cycle: from project selection
to the development of results measurement plans for each project, to
the management of the periodic collection of outcome and impact data.
The role holder is also responsible for coordinating all green loans
projects across the group and our subsidiaries and will update related
dashboards based on specific portfolio context and project results. S/he
will also assist implementing partners on their impact monitoring and
management activities as needed to maximize bank values.
Key responsibilities:
- Design
and Implementation of Monitoring and Evaluation Activities: Develop and
implement monitoring and evaluation plans, frameworks, and
methodologies tailored to the specific needs of the Green Bond project - Design
surveys, data collection methods, and qualitative studies to gather
relevant information for monitoring project progress and outcomes. - Lead
the design, implementation, and evaluation of participatory assessments
to engage stakeholders and promote learning and accountability. Data
Management and Analysis: Oversee data collection processes, ensuring the
quality and integrity of collected data. - Process and analyse data using advanced analytical tools and techniques, with a strong focus on Microsoft Excel or Power BI.
- Conduct
exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights
relevant to project objectives. Reporting and Communication: Prepare
high-quality reports on project progress, findings, and recommendations,
adhering to established reporting timelines and formats. - Communicate
monitoring and evaluation findings effectively to project stakeholders,
including team members, partners, and donors. - Collaborate with
cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of monitoring and evaluation
efforts with project objectives and outcomes. Capacity Building and
Continuous Improvement: Provide training and capacity-building support
to project staff and partners on monitoring and evaluation methodologies
and tools. - Proactively identify opportunities to improve
monitoring and evaluation processes and systems, incorporating best
practices and lessons learned.

Experience, Knowledge, and Skills Requirements
- Bachelor’s
Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Development Studies,
Operations Research, Statistics or related subjects/ qualification from
an accredited institution. - Professional training in Monitoring, Evaluation and/ or Impact Harvesting from a recognized institution is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management and/or monitoring and evaluation.
- Understanding of Monitoring and Evaluation Principles
- Proven track record of implementing data-driven strategies and delivering high-quality reports.
- Experience in designing surveys, conducting data analysis, and reporting.
- Affinity with Monitoring & Evaluation and Programme Management
- Understanding of Monitoring and Evaluation Principles
- Design of surveys/data collection methods, quantitative & qualitative studies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Data processing skills with Excel or other tools such as Power BI, advanced analytics and modelling skills is a plus.
- Design, implementation and evaluation of participatory assessments.
- Ability to facilitate focus group discussions and other group monitoring and learning processes.
