Position: Geologists (13)
Reports to: Senior Geologist
Roles and Responsibilities

• Supervising
  all drilling rigs (AC, RC&DD) including set up of drill rigs, and
  supervising drilling accuracy and sample quality.
• Geological
  Logging of lithology, structure, alteration, veining and mineralization
  in drill chips and core, to a standard suitable for inclusion in mineral
  resource calculations.
• Maintaining cross sections on active drill programs in time with the program.
• Supervising sampling teams, ensuring strict compliance with sampling protocols.
• Managing and checking the routine laboratory QAQC insertion and dispatch process.
• Aiding
  with the implementation of best practice sampling systems, standards
  and procedures that ensure the integrity of project technical data.
• Control all drilling sheets and manage drilling plods.
• Data
  entry of sampling data and verification of data to provide to the
  Senior Geologist and Data Administrator and ensuring sampling data being
  delivered and meets the required standards.
• Report writing of all works as assigned by project or senior geologist as per Sotta Mining standard.
• Regular use of QGIS software and 3D modelling software packages especially Micromine.

REQUIRED SKILLED KNOWLEDGE
Qualification:

• Any degree of Geology or related from a recognized University Minimum of 2 years of mineral Exploration experience.

For all positions,

• Ensuring safety standards are maintained during field operations.
• Valid driving license is an added advantage.
• Employment Band: Professional
• Roster: 5 days on, 2 days off
• Duty Station: Nyanzaga Site, Sengerema District, Mwanza
• Contract type: Specific Task Contract (Three months)
